Please reach us at hello@nycacuwell.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Your care should feel personal, thoughtful, and built around your goals. We offer acupuncture, ear seeds, cupping therapy, herbal consultations, and ATP Bioresonance, SAAT, and more which can be used on their own or combined into a treatment plan designed for you. During your consultation, we’ll talk through what may be most helpful so your care feels clear, tailored, and intentional from the start.
Traditional East Asian Medicine can support a wide range of concerns, including pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, allergies, stress, sleep problems, fertility, and more. Because every person is different, we can’t responsibly guess whether treatment is the right fit without first understanding your history, symptoms, and goals. That’s why every new patient begins with an initial consultation — so we can create the safest, most effective plan for you.
Your first visit is a chance for us to understand what you’ve been dealing with, what you’ve already tried, and what kind of support you’re hoping for. We’ll review your health history, discuss your current concerns, and complete an assessment so we can make thoughtful recommendations. Most first appointments are longer than follow-ups because we want to give you the time and attention you deserve.
Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how gentle acupuncture feels. The needles are very thin, and many people feel only a brief sensation during placement, followed by relaxation, warmth, heaviness, or a subtle ache that fades quickly. If you’re nervous, sensitive, or have had an unpleasant experience before, please tell us — we’ll meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable.
That depends on your condition, how long it has been present, and how your body responds to treatment. Some patients notice changes quickly, while others benefit from a more gradual plan over time. At your first visit, we’ll give you a realistic recommendation so you understand what to expect before moving forward.
We believe pricing should be clear before you begin. Appointments typically range from $175–$300 depending on your needs and the treatment plan that is most appropriate for you. During your initial consultation, we’ll review our recommendations and explain the cost before any treatment begins, so you can make an informed decision without surprises.
SAAT, or Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment, is a specialized ear acupuncture protocol used to help reduce or eliminate allergic reactions by stimulating specific points on the ear. Many patients seek SAAT when allergies are disrupting daily life. Conditions commonly treated include alpha-gal syndrome, food allergies and sensitivities, environmental allergies, seasonal allergies, and insect sting allergies.
If you’re a good candidate for the SAAT protocol, treatment plans start at $750. This includes your initial consultation, medical history review, current health assessment, SAAT treatment, and complimentary needle replacements if needed. Depending on complexity, treatment plans typically range from $750 to $1,500, and many AGS cases average around $1,100.
We are an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. Some plans offer out-of-network acupuncture benefits, but coverage varies based on your plan, deductible, and reimbursement policy. After your visit, we’ll provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
We choose to stay out-of-network so your care can be guided by your needs instead of insurance restrictions. That gives us more flexibility to create a treatment plan based on your health goals, rather than visit limits or coverage rules that may not reflect what you actually need. For many patients, this creates a more personalized and less frustrating experience.
Yes. We’re happy to help you navigate the process and understand what to ask your insurance company. In general, you’ll want to confirm whether your plan includes out-of-network acupuncture benefits, whether you have a deductible, whether a referral is required, and how reimbursement works for your specific policy.
At this time, we do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, No-Fault, or Workers’ Compensation claims. If you’re looking for care outside those systems, we’d be glad to welcome you as a self-pay patient and discuss whether your plan may allow any out-of-network reimbursement.
The fastest way to schedule is through our online booking system. For first-time patients, appointments are booked online so we can receive your health information in advance and prepare for your visit thoughtfully. If you’d like to ask a question before scheduling, you’re also welcome to call or text us.
To reserve your appointment time, we require a credit or debit card on file. For new patient visits, a $49 initial consultation fee is collected at booking and secures your appointment. This helps us reserve time just for you, reduce scheduling conflicts, and make your check-in experience smoother.
We understand that plans can change. You can cancel or reschedule by logging into your Jane account, calling or texting us, or emailing us directly. We ask for at least 12 hours’ notice whenever possible so we can offer your time slot to another patient who may be waiting for care.
Because each appointment is reserved exclusively for one patient, late cancellations and missed visits can prevent another person from being seen. If you cancel with less than 12 hours’ notice, or miss an appointment without notice, a cancellation fee may be charged to the card on file. This policy helps us keep care accessible and appointments available for patients who need them.
Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing if possible. If you have insurance, bring your card and a photo ID, and complete any forms ahead of time if you can. A light meal before your visit is usually ideal so you arrive comfortable and ready for treatment.
Completely. Many patients come in unsure, overwhelmed, or frustrated by previous experiences — especially when they’ve been trying to find answers in a medical system that doesn’t always make alternative care easy to access. We understand that, and we’ll take the time to explain each step, answer your questions, and create a calm, respectful experience from your first visit onward.
Schedule your initial consultation and let us help you build a plan that feels clear, personal, and worth your time.
